"It sounds to me like Ricardo Tobar has been listening to a lot of The Field
lately. That's not necessarily a bad thing, but he shares a similar interest in
chopping up microsamples and building them into near-trance epics. At least
sometimes, because almost every track on the lovingly titled 'Boy Love Girl EP'
is totally different. There's a shared sentiment but bar that they range from
hiccupping house to bombastic indie-tronica. Apparently, or at least according
to the press release there's some 'nu-gaze' on here too but I'm yet to find it.
What I found was a well rounded selection of well meaning electronic love songs,
with a dancefloor edge."
